This portion of the conference has been designed to promote financial education and responsibility in the young adult community. Participants will be exposed to a variety of topics dealing with personal and professional finances.

The conference will host two (2) Featured Issues (FI) with attendance from all participants. FI’s will run separate nights for the duration of one (1) hour and fifteen minutes. Immediately following the FI of the night, participants will break down into smaller groups and attend their selected workshop for the night. Participants can choose 3 workshops to attend; one for each night of the conference.

The last night of the conference will culminate with a networking event where participants and workshop leaders will get a chance to “work the room”. The networking event will host a competition. Pre-selected “secret shoppers” will judge participants on how well they made connections!

Remaining Humble Productions

Remaining Humble Productions, Inc. is a newly formed nonprofit organization conceived in 2006. Our central focus is to help change the stereotypes of young people, especially minorities and women in film. We plan to do our part in transposing the negative images perceived of our target groups. We will assist in developing more affirmative, respectful, and credible media images. Remaining Humble Productions strives to tell the stories of the black experience, as well as the plight of women without exploiting the culture and its values. All products of Remaining Humble Productions are created and produced to uplift the younger generation, highlighting young women, of the hip hop era. We plan to mentor young people using film and media as a tool.
